Staved Christmas tree Ornament
Staved Construction, with laminate between. This ornament was fun to turn, then someone said that I could not turn the bird, so bird included.

This piece was taken from a large Maple Burl, Some dye was added for finish effect and voids were left for the natural look

Just a Bowl from a board "On Steroids". Eight different kinds of wood and Twenty Four rings finished with 3 coats of Polymerized Tung Oil
Maple Burl stacking bowls
These are natural edge Maple Burl stacking bowls that have spalting on them. The burl is actually a growth like a wart or cancer on the tree that have really random grain running through the growth.

Turned this burl with a curved rim. It has been finished with 3 coats of WOP
